Magnetite is widely distributed due to many causes. It comes from the metamorphic deposit or endogenic deposit, including the magmatic deposit like the typical Kiruna deposit of Sweden,the deposit directly formed by ore pulp related to volcanism like the typical Lackey iron ore mine of Chile; the iron ore formed by contact metamorphism like the Daye iron ore deposit of China. There is a large amount of iron ore formed by regional metamorphism of iron-bearing sedimentary rocks, with the low grade but large scale, in Russia, North America, Brazil, Australia, and China's Liaoning Anshan. Magnetite is the main mineral raw material for iron making.
The magnetic separation method is dominant in the extraction of magnetite ore. For low-magnetic lean iron ore, Red Star adopts gravity separation, magnetic separation, flotation, and roasting magnetic separation, and combination processes, etc. The magnetic separation method is directly applied to process ferromagnetic iron ore.

The customer's local main metal mineral is magnetite. It is dominated by disseminated structure. Its granules are finer and the average iron content is 12-16%. It is an easy-to-select ore. The plant has obtained more than 65% of high-grade iron concentrate by adopting the grinding-weak magnetic separation process, with a recovery rate of up to 90%. After the long-term operation, the cost of the beneficiation plant is quite high. Thus, Hongxing is entrusted to make the technical transformation. Because the crushing-grinding process accounts for 70%-80% of the beneficiation cost, Hongxing adopts the early harvesting, early grinding, stage grinding, and stage separation process, which successfully reduces the cost of the beneficiation under the premise of ensuring to reach the original index.
